Welcome to Alta Loma Volunteers!
Families play a vital role in supporting student success and building a strong school community. Whether you’re helping in the classroom, joining a parent organization, or chaperoning a field trip, your time and involvement make a meaningful difference in the lives of our students.
Get Involved at Alta Loma Middle School
Starting middle school can be a difficult transition for some. Students must follow a block schedule with four different periods. They now have lockers in different parts of the school and must memorize locker combinations and carry their books and supplies to different classes. All of this can be tough to get used to. Volunteering is a good way to help ensure a smooth transition from elementary to middle school for your child. Research also shows that students do better when their families are involved at home and at school. That's why our school values parental involvement and why parents are always welcome at Alta Loma. There are many ways to get involved and stay involved:
- Attend "Back to School Night".
- Join the parent teacher association (PTA).
- Attend school board meetings.
- Participate in "Coffee with the Counselors" before school.
